CSR Asia is committed to promoting corporate social responsibility (CSR) in the Asia Pacific region. Illustrative of its social commitment towards inclusivity, the CSR Asia Scholarship Programme has been established to offer fee reductions or waivers for the various training courses we run.

The CSR Asia Scholarship is supported in part by UBS.



 
Eligibility

  1. University students or staff from non-profit organisations (NGOs) who have a keen interest in CSR issues, developing CSR insights or pursuing a career in the CSR field, but are unable to afford the full or part of the course fee.
  2. As a general principle, applicants from developing countries would be given preference over developed countries.
  3. Other criteria such as future goals, academic standing, professional experience, school/ community involvement, recommendation by referee will also be considered.
 
Scope

  1. The Scholarship would be available for all of CSR Asia’s regular training courses and on-demand courses/ workshops. Regular training courses include:
       - CSR Essentials
       - CSR Solutions
       - CSR Academy
       - CSR Master Class
       - Reporting and Communications
       - Business Strategies for Climate Change
       - Investing for Impact: Tools and Approaches for Community Investment
  2. The Scholarship does not apply to in-house training.
  3. The Scholarship covers fee reduction to the training course applied for. The reduction amount may vary from 10% to 100%, and will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
  4. The Scholarship cannot be combined with any other discounts.
  5. Granting of the Scholarship is also dependent on availability of places for the course.
  6. The Scholarship does not cover meals, transportation, accommodation or any other costs arising from the participation of the training course. Applicants are responsible for these costs.
 
Application Procedure

  1. Applicants would have to submit the (a) CSR Asia Scholarship Application Form, (b) a Personal Statement on why they should be offered the Scholarship and (c) the Registration Form for the particular training course being applied for to marketing@csr-asia.com.
  2. Generally, applications must be submitted at least one month before the training course date.
  3. Successful applications will be notified by email or phone call.
  4. Application for a different training course without submitting a new Personal Statement is possible as long as the time span is not too long between applications. However, applicants are reminded to have the essay ready if it is so requested.
