CSR Asia is committed to promoting corporate social responsibility (CSR) in Asia. Illustrative of this commitment, the CSR Asia Scholarship Programme has been established to offer fee reductions or waivers for the CSR Asia Summit and our training courses.
The CSR Asia Scholarship is supported by UBS who is dedicated to building CSR capacity in Asia.

Criteria
|
The CSR Asia Scholarship is awarded to candidates with a proven commitment to driving sustainable change, social or environmental. The CSR Asia Scholarship committee is looking for candidates who exhibit a strong interest in CSR and demonstrate outstanding leadership potential to further drive sustainable change. Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- University students or staff from non-profit organisations (NGOs)
- A demonstrated commitment in CSR and/or sustainability
- A strong leadership potential to further drive sustainable change
- Lack of resources to fund the full or part of the course fee
Preference will be given to applicants with the following criteria:
- Originated from countries in Asia, specifically Bangladesh, Bhutan, Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Maldives, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand or Vietnam.
- Demonstrated experience in community involvement or charity work if applicant is a student.
- Evidence that the outcomes of the event or course can be directly applied to day job or university courses taken to pursue sustainable change.
- Other criteria such as future goals, academic standing, professional experience, school/ community involvement, recommendation by referee will also be considered.

Scope
|
- The Scholarship is available for CSR Asia’s flagship event, the CSR Asia Summit
- The Scholarship is available for all of CSR Asia’s regular training courses, such as
- CSR Essentials
- CSR Solutions - Reporting and Communications - Climate Change and Carbon Footprinting - Investing for Impact: Tools and Approaches for Community Investment
- ISO 26000
- The Scholarship does not apply to in-house training.
- The Scholarship cannot be combined with any other discounts.
- If places for the courses are limited, fully paying participants are granted preference over scholarship applicants.
- The Scholarship does not cover meals, transportation, accommodation or any other costs arising from the participation of the event or training course. Applicants are responsible for these costs.
- The Scholarship covers fee reduction to the training course, which the amount may vary from 10% to 100%, and will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

Application Procedure
|
This scholarship is awarded to students or NGO staff, who provide complete and trustworthy answers to the questions stated in the application form and have the most appealing personal statement.
- Applicants would have to submit the following documents to marketing@csr-asia.com
(a) CSR Asia Scholarship Application Form
(b) Supportive document for identity (such as Student I.D or Staff card)
- Applications must be submitted at least one month before the training course date or event.
- Only successful applications will be notified by email or phone call.
