Join the Responsible Agribusiness Roundtable Series in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam that CSR Asia, French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Vietnam and Universal Robina Corporation are co-hosting! The Responsible Agribusiness Roundtable Series aims to help agribusinesses identify ways of adopting responsible practices that help improve livelihoods for small-scale producers.

It is designed for companies that are, or want to be more:

  • Engaged with smallholder farmers
  • Aware of gender empowerment approaches
  • Seek to adopt inclusive business models
  • Contribute to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

About the Roundtable Series

Developed by CSR Asia for GRAISEA (Gender Transformative and Responsible Agribusiness Investments in South East Asia (GRAISEA)), a regional development programme funded by the Government of Sweden and implemented by Oxfam, the Responsible Agribusiness Roundtable Series provides an exclusive dialogue on the most pressing topics and challenge that agribusiness is currently facing.

A highly interactive workshop that facilitates further growth and discussion about responsible business practices, mapping next steps towards smallholder inclusion and gender equality, and supporting networking for future partnerships and targets. Invited agribusinesses will be encouraged to share their own experiences, challenges and to exchange knowledge. Key discussion points will include:

  • Gender empowerment throughout value chains
  • Role of agribusiness in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals
  • Agribusiness challenges in ASEAN
  • Investing in smallholder communities
  • Social inclusion across the industry

About the co-hosts:

Universal Robina Corporation (URC) is one of the largest branded consumer food and beverage product companies in the Philippines and has a significant and growing presence in the ASEAN markets. URC is engaged in a wide range of food-related businesses, including the manufacture and distribution of branded consumer foods and is also in commodities namely sugar million band refining and flour milling and in Agro industrial businesses of farms mainly hogs and animal feed milling and related products. As part of their overall sustainability strategy, URC aims to further strengthen their partnerships with their own people, supplier and distribution networks, regulatory bodies, and the communities they work in, to renew their social license to operate.

The French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Vietnam (CCIFV) main goal is to drive and represent the French business community in Vietnam and to facilitate the exchange of goods, services and capital between both countries. It gathers over 280 members from individual members to MNCs, including SMEs. CCIFV CSR Program aims to increase the flow of good business practices, experiences and contacts to enhance sustainable development in Vietnam. Our mission is to raise awareness on CSR through events, publications and surveys, but also to support companies in the development of their CSR approach through consulting services and online tools.
