With Baidu and Google.cn censoring searches for 家乐福 (jialefu - Carrefour in Chinese), it's gone almost unnoticed (but not here) that Carrefour's Chinese website is back up and working (after a 12-day break and some overenthusiastic anti-French hacking in retaliation for France messing up the torch relay). But has anyone actually seen the new site? I know they're a little punch-drunk after the boycott beating, but whoever's advising them on community engagement isn't doing them any favours, surely. An athletic track with a shopping trolly whizzing down the back straight? Subtle it 'aint, but will it convince anyone? See the website here (persist if you get an error message; it's nothing nefarious, just a lousy server).
