Malaysia has become a large employment base for international production in a variety of industries, creating jobs for millions of workers. However, unethical recruitment practices can put workers at risk for exploitation, or even forced labor, and be a business risk for workplaces. Join us to gain a better understanding of forced labor risks among foreign migrant workers in Malaysia and learn effective strategies for ethical recruitment practices. Drawing on key findings from the Responsible Workplace Program in Malaysia, implemented by the Responsible Business Alliance Foundation and supporting program partner ELEVATE, this webinar will share insights from 40 factories in the country.
Presented by Heather Canon, Vice President, Capacity Building, ELEVATE
Heather leads ELEVATE’s Capacity Building team from the company’s Hong Kong headquarters. In this role, Heather directs four business lines: Worker Engagement, Factory Services, eLearning and MCSR (Program Support) services.
